Public Health Advisory – Crystal Lake

By the Orleans Health Department

A Public Health Advisory has been issued at Crystal Lake due to the presence of a potentially harmful algal bloom.  It may be unsafe for people and pets, so please do not swim or play in the water at this time.  If you come into contact with the water, rinse off. 

No adverse reactions have been reported, however if you are concerned please contact your health care provider for guidance. 

The Public Health Advisory will be withdrawn after two samples, collected a week apart, demonstrate reduced cell counts or toxin levels.  The next status update will be issued on Wednesday, November 8th.
