Come enjoy an afternoon Open House at the one and only Eastwind Gallery – an art gallery and working studio where artists may be creating when you visit! Meet our local Cape Cod artists creating works in oil, pastels, photography and pen and ink. Eastwind is conveniently located in downtown Orleans. Just come down the front or back stairs between Gallant Jewelers and Watson’s Men’s Store.
Enter by the Main St entrance near the corner of Rte. 6a or from the Main St Square parking lot behind the gallery. Note that accessibility may be limited for some visitors because acces is via stairs into the gallery.
Dive into The Frying Pan Gallery where you will find a captivating collection of marine-inspired steel sculptures by artist Steve Swain, known for his iconic schools of fish, lighting designs, bass, tuna, whales, dolphins, octopuses, horseshoe crabs and much more. Alongside Steve’s work, enjoy that of beloved Cape Cod artists, including – paintings, encaustics, etchings, jewelry, driftwood, photography, ceramics – and a friendly, knowledgeable staff.
The Frying Pan Gallery opened its doors in 2009 in an historic oyster shack on Wellfleet Harbor with its Orleans location to follow in 2022. The galleries are curated and operated by Sarah Swain with a passion to create a welcoming art space that features the work of husband Steve Swain and the more than 20 local artists.
