Time to Register!

Celebrate Our Waters – Sept 15-17, 2023

Registration for events with limited spaces now open for

Members on August 29th, 10AM.

This year we are offering advanced registration opportunities to OPC members a week prior to the general public.

Mark your calendars for Celebrate Our Waters, OPC’s signature event of the year, now bigger and better than ever! We’re offering dozens of events around Orleans to celebrate the beauty of our environment and our waters.

Events requiring registration:

Arey’s Pond Sunset Paddle Friday, 9/15 6:00pm

Sail on Pleasant Bay Saturday, 9/16 9:30am,11:30am, 1:30pm

Town Cove Kayak Tour Saturday, 9/16 10:00am, 1:00pm

Sipson Island Kayak & Walk Sunday, 9/17 9:00am

Registration for the general public will open Tuesday September 5th.

Spaces for these events are limited and will be available on a first come, first serve basis.  Please mark your calendar and register early is you are interested in these activities.

But the weekend offers much more than these events.  In fact, there will be about 25 other events on offer.  We’re sure there is something for everyone to get out and enjoy being by or on our waters.  A tour of the brand new wastewater treatment plant, Friday evening, or the Family Fun Tent with activities for the entire family on Saturday, or a tour of an oyster farm, a cranberry bog, a sustainable garden, or hikes, bikes, rowing are just a few examples of what’s on offer.   And don’t forget the bonfire Saturday evening! 

Please come celebrate the vital role our estuaries, ponds and lakes play in our recreation, learning, health and livelihoods.
