We are pleased to announce that Celebrate Our Waters – the signature event of the Orleans Pond Coalition – is being re-imagined for 2025. In addition to retaining some of the popular festivities in September, OPC will add fun and informative activities in the spring and summer.
Earth Day Celebrate Our Waters:
Thanks to all the volunteers who joined us on April 26th for our traditional Earth Day beach clean-up day. There was also:
- hands-on demonstrations of water management strategies and
- ways to create a Cape friendly lawn, and
- a scavenger hunt for kids and families.

On June 6 and 7, OPC will offer tours of our state-of-the art wastewater treatment facility and a Family Fun Tent on Saturday.
September Celebrate Our Waters:
On September 13 and 14, in addition to the ever-popular yoga on the beach, bird watching at Nauset Marsh, and the hike to Pochet Island, activities will include kayaking to Sampson Island, a tour of Sipson Island, visits to terrapin nesting and oyster aquaculture sites, and learning about an eelgrass restoration project.
Please save these dates and join us for all Celebrate Our Waters weekends:
– Earth Day: Saturday, April 26
– Summer: Friday and Saturday, June 6-7
– Fall: Saturday and Sunday, September 13-14
